American HipHoppers Beastie Boys have revealed the title of their upcoming studioalbum in an e-mail to fans. Their eighth album will be named '
Hot Sauce Committee'.
Bandmember
Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horowitz had previously told Billboard that the new album will be a more traditional
Beastie Boys affair.
"It's a lot of vocals – very wordy," he said. "It's political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very."
It will be their first album with vocals since 2004's "To the 5 Boroughs".
No firm release date has been set for the record. Although some websites have reported a scheduled release of December 29, 2009, the group nor label has confirmed this. Dutch recordstore
Van Leest states June 12th as a release date in their release list. The band will tour the UK later this year in support of the new record.
