Ian Brown announces Michael Jackson-inspired album

Ian Brown announces Michael Jackson-inspired album Ian Brown has announced the release of a new LP inspired by Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. The album is titled 'My Way' and is out due September 28.

The frontman explained that the album was mainly inspired by Jackson's seminal 1982 album 'Thriller' – and that the final day of mixing took place when the late singer died, on June 25.

Brown told nme.com: "'Thriller' was our blueprint, Every time we wrote a song we didn't think was strong enough, we scrapped it. We mastered it on the day that Michael Jackson died too, so I'm taking that as a good omen."

The first single of the album is 'Stellify', which is out September 21. 'My Way' was recorded at Manchester's Battery Studios with producer Dave McCracken.
