Yelle vs Robyn

Yelle vs Robyn

As part of the iTunes Foreign Exchange series, France and Sweden are going head-to-head in a clash of the ElectroPop nutcases.

Yelle covers Robyn's big hit "Who's that girl" (no, not Madonna's hit) and Robyn covers Yelle's number 1 hit "A cause des garcons".
The new titles are "Qui est cette fille" and "Because of boys".

As big fans of Yelle we were pretty surprised by this news that she finally released something new. Her version is much better than the original.
After some lousy R&B tunes in the late 90's even Robyn made her way into our hearts with the huge hit "With every heartbeat" and "The girl and the robot". Her version of "A cause des garcons", "Because of boys" is not nearly is good as Yelle's interpretation, but we give her the benefit of the doubt.

Both tunes enter our beloved All 77 Raar chart this week @ number 63.
