RAAR FM on CHILL-MODUS
2009 has been a hectic year so far. Not only for our listeners but for the crew as well.We chose to chill out and relax for 54 hours non stop this weekend. Our idea is to go to a lovely beach near Druif, sipping smooth cocktails, eating some gamba's in Teriyaki sauce, get some nice massages, worship the sun and enjoy the lovely people around us. RAAR FM will provide the musical ingredients for this trip.
This whole weekend, starting on Friday 18:00 PM CET, you will hear the best non-stop chill-out music ever made from around the world selected by S.W. & Cinr.
From the Netherlands to Brazil to Ibiza to Africa to France and back to Iceland. Expect a lot of Balearic Beats, Deephouse, Blissed-out Pop Music, Lounge and of course a lot of Sade, to celebrate the fact that so many people are looking forward to her new album...

I remember that S.W. gave me a copy of this tune just after he finished it. Cancao de Manha became the ultimate soundtrack of my 3rd holiday in Ibiza. Amazing stuff from our favorite Raar FM dj and producer.
2 Doktor Rockit - Cafe de flore
Mister Herbert musically describes a scene in this cafe with such sense of reality that you can just taste the croissant au beurre and a nice glass of expensive champagne.

I can't believe she passed away already 15 years ago. Such a shame, listen to this sexy latin-orientated song and you'll understand why morning shouldn't come that soon...
8 A.R. Rahman - Mumbai Theme Tune
The first track on the Cafe Del Mar 5 album. The album that made me love chill-out music. Everytime I hear these "Atlantis" like ambient/new-age sounds, it brings a smile on my face
9 Cesaria Evora - Saudade
The queen of Saudade never fails to deliver. The expression "Saudade" has been described as vague and constant desire for "something that does not and probably cannot exist". Cesaria gives a new meaning to this mystic phenomenon.
10 Noir Desir - Le vent nous portera
Melancholic music song by a controversial Bertrand Cantat, who has been released from jail 2 years ago after being sentenced to eight years in prison after he was found guilty of causing the death of Marie Trintignant, his girlfriend.
